About Us – Kensington & Chelsea Accounting Ltd was born out of the experiences of Christopher Bick and Glynis McQueen-Simon (aka GEMS).

Christopher Bick, Managing Director (MAAT, FTA, FFA, FIPA) has expertise in the Consumer Products, Telecoms, Financial Services, Banking & Legal sectors.

Since 1997, Christopher worked his way from the first rungs of the accounting ladder to now being able to provide full Accountancy services and business consultancy through his shared experiences with the likes of The Royal Bank Of Scotland, JCB International Credit Cards, Halebury Ventures Ltd and Schindlers Attorneys.

Christopher’s main ambition is to provide a professional service to client’s which is more bespoke in nature and be considered a business partner of whom we can grow together.

Glynis McQueen-Simon, FIC (IT & Operations Manager) is a management consultant.  She has expertise and specialisations in businesses on behalf of their owners, information technology and is a Microsoft Office Specialist.

GEMSGEMS started her working life in 1979.  She worked for decades in many different industries including Rosser & Russell (Mechanical Engineering) Ltd, SPL International (Software House), First National Bank of Boston (American Bank), GEMS Business Services (Own Business), Prince’s Trust (Charity), Portobello Trust & Business Centre (Charity), The NHS, Bradman Management Services (Property Developers), Dawes Road Hub (Business Centre), SOBUS (Charity) and Surrey County Council.

GEMS has been working with computers since the 1980s and started her first business in 1987 – GEMS Business Services.

Glynis worked as a Keyboard Lecturer in 1991, and as a Information, Communications & Technology (‘ICT’) Lecturer/Tutor in 2003.  In this role, she set up the ICT suite by herself, and taught ICT at a Communal Young People’s Home; whose residents were young people aged 14-19 years old with Special Educational Needs (‘SENs’).

In July 2003, she was awarded a City & Guilds certificate in Teaching Adult Learners – Teaching Practice Stage One.
